Alzheimer's Disease International Global Conference
Day 2 of the Alzheimer’s Disease International Global Conference in Poland was off to a great start!
π Our day began with a pleasant surprise when 3 hotel guests joined us in our taxi. We soon learned that we were in the company of Suzi Leather Chair of the Alzheimer’s Society, Thabrez Khan, Iain Hartnell, later to be joined at the Conference by Bronte Heath and Matt Hughes-Short.
π Conversations were thought-provoking and we explored whether genetics plays a role in the higher rate of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease within African and African Caribbean communities in the UK.
π Fiona Carragher‘s Alzheimer’s Society ‘Longitudinal Prize on Dementia’ session was the highlight of our early morning with inspiration provided by; Ruth Neale Eric Kihlstrom Aging2.0. and Trevor Salomon.
π The day continued with additional stimulating presentations from Chris Lynch Patrick Ettenes Kudzai Mpunzwana Dr. Huali Wang, and DΓ©borah Oliveira, PhD RN
π The conference has been a great opportunity to learn and engage with experts in the field.
π€πΏ Slightly nervous in regards to Day 3 as this is when I present.
